Intellectual Property Security |
In order to encourage employees to innovate, protect R&D achievements, and continuously strengthen competitiveness, the Company has established the“ Intellectual Property Management Plan” that is integrated with its operational goals and drafted the Patent Application Management and Incentive Regulations. They were also established with the purposes of achieving technological leadership in important areas, providing quality products and services to customers around the world, and continuously pursuing industry leadership by adopting an attitude of sustainable development.
The Company regularly submits the intellectual property management status and sustainable development work report to the first quarter board of directors on February 21, 2025.
Intellectual Property Management & Trade Secrets:
- As of 2024, the total cumulative number of globally granted patents for the group is 979.
- For three consecutive years, we have invited officials from the Hsinchu Investigation Station to visit our company to give lectures on trade secret protection, management points and cases, in order to strengthen the protection awareness of all employees.

The 2024 legal internal training course [Integrity Management & Introduction to Intellectual Property & Trade Secrets] is compulsory for all employees of the company and will be passed by sampling.
- Enforcement procedure:
In 2006, the "Patent Application Management and Incentive Measures" were established.
In 2018, the "Code of Business Ethics and Professional Conduct" was established.
In 2020, the "Information Security Policy" was established.
In 2021, the "Internet and electronic media operation management guidelines" were revised , enhanced measures for information security.
In 2022, the "Patent Application Management and Incentive Measures" were revised to incorporate company's patent deployment strategies.
